Pixl started as a frustration. Every photo editor we tried was either too complicated, too expensive, or too slow. So we built something better — and apparently, half a million people agreed.
I was on a trip in Japan, taking photos I was genuinely proud of — and then spending 45 minutes in a clunky editor trying to make them look the way I saw them in my head. I thought: this is insane. There has to be a better way.
I called Yuna that night. We started building Pixl the next week. The goal was simple: make the gap between "I took a photo" and "this looks amazing" as small as possible.
